Job Description
We are hiring General Laborers to support fiber installation work at a large data center project in New Albany, Ohio. These are travel-based roles with paid hotels and per diem. No prior experience is required—hands-on training is provided.
This is a strong opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to break into fiber and telecommunications work while earning significant overtime.
Travel & Schedule Details
• Minimum 10-day deployments
• Guaranteed 60 hours per week
• Paid hotel accommodations
• $35/day meal per diem
Pay & Earnings
• Starting at $20/hour
• Heavy overtime available
• Entry-level technicians can realistically earn $60,000+ in their first year due to consistent overtime
Responsibilities
• Learn and perform fiber splicing
• Assist with furcation, ribbonizing, and fiber preparation
• Conduct fiber testing (OTDR, power meter, etc.)
• Accurately identify fiber color codes
• Complete basic documentation
• Maintain tools and equipment
Requirements
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately
• Steel-toed boots (boot stipend provided)
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable working 10–12 hour shifts and traveling
