Skillforce is seeking experienced Die Casting Tooling Specialists for a project-based assignment supporting aluminum High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) operations near Milwaukee, WI. This role focuses on repair, restoration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large production dies in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Candidates must have strong experience working with large tonnage die casting tooling, performing die teardown, welding repair, machining, and precision fitting.

Per Diem / Travel:
-$200/a day per diem (7 days)/$1,400 weekly
-Travel home every two weeks or as needed
-Travel time paid at regular hourly rate
-Mileage reimbursed at $0.70/mile if driving
-Flights provided if flying (rental car + fuel reimbursed)

Responsibilities:
-Tear down and rebuild HPDC dies for inspection and repair
-Diagnose tooling issues including heat checking, cracking, erosion, soldering, and wear
-Perform TIG welding repairs on H13 and similar tool steels
-Replace and fit cores, inserts, slides, pins, and die components
-Maintain die cooling circuits and flow verification
-Troubleshoot casting defects related to tooling performance
-Perform preventative maintenance and document repairs
-Operate manual machining equipment for fitting and adjustments
-Read and interpret tooling prints and assembly drawings

Requirements:
-5+ years HPDC die repair experience
-Strong understanding of die construction and large tonnage casting machines
-TIG welding experience on tool steel (H13)
-Ability to machine, fit, and hold tight tolerances
-Experience with precision measuring instruments
-Automotive program experience preferred
