Location: Near Milwaukee, WI

Schedule: 50+ hrs/week | 6 to 7 days/week
Shifts Available: 1st / 2nd / 3rd

Skillforce is seeking experienced Aluminum Die Casting Toolmakers for a high-hours project assignment at a manufacturing facility near Milwaukee, WI. This role supports aluminum High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) operations, focusing on repair, rework, machining, and improvement of production dies to maintain uptime and casting quality.

Candidates should have strong experience with die casting tooling, CNC machining, die repair, and troubleshooting tooling issues in production environments.

Per Diem / Travel:
-$200/day per diem – paid all 7 days ($1,400 weekly)
-Travel home every two weeks or as needed
-Travel time paid at regular hourly rate
-Mileage reimbursed at $0.70/mile when driving personal vehicle
-Flights provided if flying (rental car + fuel reimbursed)

Responsibilities:
-Rework and repair aluminum die casting tooling using prints, models, and engineering direction
-Machine components using CNC equipment, mills, lathes, grinders, and other shop tools
-Perform preventative maintenance to reduce die failures and downtime
-Troubleshoot worn or damaged tooling and implement corrective repairs
-Support engineering with tooling revisions to improve cycle time and casting quality
-Participate in die trials and validation runs
-Inspect tooling to verify dimensional accuracy and performance standards
-Maintain documentation of repairs, revisions, and modifications
-Provide shop floor support when tooling issues impact production

Requirements:
-3+ years aluminum HPDC toolmaking experience
-Strong understanding of die casting tooling, materials, and machining processes
-Ability to independently program using Siemens NX
-Skilled operating CNC machines and manual machining equipment
-Ability to read complex prints and 3D models
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
