We are seeking skilled brick/masonry laborers with over two years of experience. The role involves site preparation, such as shoveling, raking, compacting, and digging, as well as cleaning up the worksite. You will be responsible for running string lines for layouts and guidance, working with mortar, fine sand, and other masonry-related materials. The ability to read general prints and layouts is essential, and you will be involved in loading and unloading building materials.
Responsibilities
* Prepare the worksite by shoveling, raking, compacting, and digging.
* Run string lines for layouts and guidance.
* Work with mortar, fine sand, and other masonry materials.
* Read and interpret general prints and layouts.
* Load and unload building materials.
* Engage in concrete and brick work.

Essential Skills
* Experience in concrete finishing and brick work.
* Ability to build retaining walls and perform block work.
* Proficiency in reading blueprints and layouts.
* Expertise in using hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in stonemasonry and concrete construction.
* Proficiency in using a trowel.
* General labor skills in new construction projects.

Work Environment

The role involves working on the renovation and high-end addition of a Country Club. It is crucial to maintain respect for the property. The position is based on 1st shift hours, Monday through Friday, with the expectation of Saturday overtime from March through May, depending on the schedule. A per diem of $25/day is available, and lodging is paid for those working locally to Flint.
