Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Excavator Operator with over 5 years in underground utilities. This role requires proficiency in gravity sewer and mainline installation, ensuring the safe excavation of trenches from 5 to over 30 feet deep while following precise grade stakes and slopes for gravity flow.

Responsibilities
* Excavate trenches ranging from 5 to 30+ feet deep with adherence to precise grade stakes and slopes.
* Handle and set various pipe types, including VCP, RCP, PVC, and ductile iron, ranging from 2" to 144" in diameter.
* Install manholes and related sanitary sewer structures.
* Backfill, compact, and restore surfaces following pipe installation.
* Strictly adhere to OSHA trenching, shoring, and excavation safety standards, including 'competent person' training.

Essential Skills
* Proficiency in operating excavators and heavy equipment.
* Experience in underground utilities and sewer systems.
* Knowledge of trenching and shoring techniques.
* Ability to handle pipe laying and installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience with GPS technology in excavation tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
