Job Overview
Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Project Type: Industrial or Power Plant environments
Duration: 1 - 3 months
Schedule: Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime

💰 Compensation & Logistics
Mobilization: Ability to travel 75% to 100% of the time, often on short notice, to project sites globally

🛠️ Technical Execution & Responsibilities
Installation & Construction: Layout, bend, and install Rigid Galvanized Steel, Aluminum, and PVC-coated conduit up to 4 inches.
System Assembly: Install cable tray systems, supports, unistrut racks, and anchor equipment such as Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, and Transformers.
Cable Management: Execute complex wire pulls for power, control, and instrumentation using tuggers and sheaves.
Terminations: Perform high-quality terminations (24VDC to 4160V) using crimpers, torque wrenches, and heat-shrink kits.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose motor control circuits (Stop/Start, HOA switches) and power distribution faults using schematics and multimeters.
Maintenance: Replace failed components including fuses, relays, contactors, and breakers; inspect for heat damage and replace motor brushes.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret Electrical One-Line diagrams, Three-Line schematics, Ladder Logic, and interconnect drawings.

🛡️ Safety, Quality & Documentation
Code Compliance: Ensure all installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70) standards for conduit fill, wire sizing, and grounding.
Hazard Control: Execute Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures with 100% accuracy and verify "Zero Energy" status.
PPE: Utilize proper equipment including Arc Flash suits and voltage-rated gloves when required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, work at elevations, and lift 50 pounds in noisy, dirty, or extreme temperature environments.
Mentorship: Mentor apprentices on safe work practices and code compliance.

📋 Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of Journeyman-level electrical experience specifically within Industrial or Power Generation facilities, focusing on construction or maintenance.

Certifications: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and a valid jurisdictional driver license.

Tools: Proficiency with hydraulic/hand conduit benders, Volt-Ohm Meters, Meggers, and Ammeters.
