Key Project Requirements:
· 10+ years of construction management or field oversight experience with industrial processing, power generation, refinery, or chemical plant projects.
· Experience managing site construction activities, subcontractors, and schedule execution on complex industrial facilities.
· Proficiency using project scheduling and tracking tools such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, or Gantt-based planning tools.
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the construction of a petroleum pilot plant facility in Richmond, Virginia. This role is responsible for managing on-site construction activities, coordinating contractors and engineering teams, and ensuring the project is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities to ensure work aligns with project plans, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Manage day-to-day field operations, including coordination of contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress against schedule and budget, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and construction documentation to ensure proper installation and compliance with design requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce adherence to OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and project quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination between the owner, contractors, and engineering teams to resolve field issues and maintain project progress.
Job Requirements:
• Proven experience managing construction activities on industrial facilities such as power plants, refineries, chemical plants, or similar process facilities.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety standards, and construction quality control practices.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks, troubleshoot field issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience coordinating between owners, contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred(or additional experience in lieu of degree).
• 10+ years of construction management field oversight experience with industrial processing, power generation, refinery, or chemical plant projects.
