Skilled General Laborers – Data Center Construction
Pay: $24–$25/hour
Per Diem: $100 per day worked
Hours: 60 hours guaranteed (must be open to days or nights)
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (weather permitting)
Start: ASAP
Crew Size Needed: Crews of 10–15 workers
Language: Bilingual crews preferred (Spanish-speaking ideal)
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled general laborers to support large-scale data center construction projects. The primary scope of work involves installing pre-engineered metal wall and roof panels on the exterior of data centers. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role in an outdoor construction environment.
Responsibilities

Install pre-engineered metal wall and roof panels per project specifications, drawings, and manufacturer guidelines
Assist with layout, alignment, and fastening of structural components
Utilize steel erecting tools such as impact wrenches, torque tools, shears, snips, grinders, and panel lifting equipment
Work at heights using scissor lifts, ladders, and scaffolding while following all safety protocols
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and installation instructions
Coordinate with foremen and crew members to maintain productivity and meet deadlines
Perform material handling, staging, and site cleanup
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards

Work Environment & Site Conditions

Outdoor, year-round work with exposure to variable weather, including cold winters, high winds, and hot summer conditions
High-wind conditions may result in temporary site shutdowns
Active construction sites with heavy equipment, steel erection activities, and multiple trades working simultaneously
Physically demanding work requiring lifting heavy materials, climbing, standing for long periods, and working at heights

Pace & Team Structure

Fast-paced, production-driven environment with tight project schedules
Frequent task changes as project phases progress
Strong team-oriented culture requiring coordination with foremen, steel erectors, carpenters, and other trades

Safety Expectations

Strict adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Mandatory PPE including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility apparel, and fall protection
Comfort working in elevated and open-frame steel structures is required

Tools & Equipment

Frequent use of steel erecting tools (impacts, torque tools, shears, grinders)
Regular use of aerial lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
Work areas include metal building frames, roof systems, and exterior wall assemblies

Work Hours & Expectations

Full-time, onsite work with consistent overtime opportunities
Early start times and long days are common, especially during peak construction seasons
