[Electrician] TRAVELING ELECTRICIANS NEEDED

[ Back ] [ The Roadtechs General Construction Job Board ] [ Help ] [Edit ] [Mark Position Closed ]

My core team is a team of three: Controls Lead/electrician/spotter helper.
We are going into Amazon's and making the controls panel go from manual to automated.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN MVR BACKGROUND AND DRUG TEST

•The controls lead is the lead they are trouble shooting, labeling, and wiring the controls panel, they lead the team, making sure they have all they need, ducks are in a row, deliverables at the end of the day, adding time. They need PLC controls experience AND electrical experience. They need to be able to pass a Wachter BG check and MVR because they will be issued a vehicle to drive from their hotel to the site. We have found the guys with the electrical background do better and going forward that’s what we want in this role.

•The electrician their main job is running conduit all day from the power drops to the control panels. We also have some low voltage guys working side by side with them installing cameras, pulling wire etc. Those guys aren’t on my core team that I’m hiring for they fall under Rollout. The electrician needs to have extensive conduit experience and happy to run and bend it all day. They will be issues a work van like a penske van or possible Mini van they will share with the spotter so they can come and go to site without the controls lead if they need to be in a little earlier or later. The electrician is the one that sets the pace for the speed of everyone. 1’ to ˝’ EMT. If they have PLC controls experience that’s even better. This is HIGH VOLTAGE we do not want LV guys for this role. They do not have to be licensed.

•Spotters – they will be spotting guys on the lifts/helping bring in equipment, some hands on. Apprentice level electricians are great for this role.

Spotter Helper
$20-$30 per hour
Electrician
$30-45
Controls Lead
$30-$50

They will get drive time in the van, no mileage is paid because it’s our vehicle, they will get a gas card.

6 days a week
12-14 average days, some have been longer.
Day shift into the evening 7am typical start time
Anything over 40 hours is OT
Day 7 they rest or travel to the next site.
Most are at a site for 3 weeks or so.
NO spouses, friends, partners, dogs, cats, or any kind of travel partner
They will have their own hotel room we will pay for that
Need to be open to go anywhere in the country and be gone and not need to come home
