Key Project Requirements:
•    5+ years of IC&E experience specific to commissioning or startup
•    Ability to perform loop checks, instrument calibrations, and electrical system verifications
•    Familiarity with power generation systems (low- to medium-voltage) and control systems
•    Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during key commissioning milestones

Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an IC&E Commissioning Technician to support the startup and commissioning of a power generation facility in Arapahoe, CO. This role will focus on loop checks, instrument calibration, electrical system verification, troubleshooting, and functional testing of instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems leading up to Commercial Operation Date (COD). Working closely with commissioning teams, vendors, and O&M staff, the IC&E Commissioning Technician will ensure that all systems are installed properly, function as designed, and meet safety and performance standards prior to turnover.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform and document loop checks, point-to-point testing, and calibration of instrumentation and control systems.
•    Support the energization, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems from 24VDC to 13.8kV.
•    Validate PLC logic, HMI functionality, alarm response, and interlocks to ensure proper control integration.
•    Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and commissioning teams to complete startups and address punch list items.
•    Ensure safety compliance through adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, use of PPE, and site protocols.

Job Requirements:
•    Strong knowledge of instrumentation calibration, loop checks, and electrical testing
•    Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control logic diagrams
•    Skilled in using calibration/test equipment and software tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
•    Strong communication and teamwork skills with a safety-first mindset

Education/Experience:
•    Technical diploma, associate degree, military training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, instrumentation, or control systems
•    5+ years of IC&E experience supporting commissioning or startup activities in power generation or similar environments

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $60-$65.

The actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. **
