We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Rigger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, securing, and moving heavy equipment and materials using rigging gear in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong knowledge of load calculations, rigging techniques, and job site safety practices.
Working 10-12 hour shifts -MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Hourly BOE
$120.00 daily per diem-(per diem paid all 7 days if you work your scheduled M-F shifts)
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and prepare rigging equipment including slings, chains, chokers, and hoists
Safely rig and move heavy loads using cranes or other lifting equipment
Determine load weights and center of gravity for proper rigging
Signal crane operators using hand signals or radio communication
Ensure all lifts comply with safety standards and regulations
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of rigging gear
Work closely with crane operators, ironworkers, and site supervisors
Requirements:
2+ years of rigging experience (industrial or construction preferred)
Knowledge of rigging hardware, hitches, and load charts
Ability to read and understand lift plans and blueprints
Experience working around cranes and heavy equipment
Strong understanding of safety procedures
Certifications (Preferred/Required):
NCCCO Rigger Certification (Rigger Level I or II)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Signal Person Certification
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
Ability to stand, bend, and work long hours as needed
