The State Group and Delta Services are seeking a Safety Coordinator to work in our high-voltage distribution in Southwest Indiana. This opportunity will provide immediate, once-in-a-lifetime career learning and growth, as well as future promotional opportunities within The State Group. This position reports directly to the High-Voltage Safety Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Conduct safety orientation and annual training.
Complete job site-specific safety plans and audits.
Input and maintain training recordkeeping with a training tracking software program.
Conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis.
Communicate safety trends and opportunities for improvement to management, field supervision, customers, and employees.
Actively participate as a member of the professional safety team, contributing to establishing best practices and driving continuous improvement.
Work overtime as needed, and travel occasionally.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
2+ years of construction safety experience, including electrical utility distribution.
A bachelor's degree or tradecraft experience.
Prefer CUSP, OSHA 30, and OSHA 500 certifications.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including walking/standing more than 75% of work time, climbing ladders and working at heights, and the ability to work in hot/cold, wet, dusty, and noisy environments.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, strong time management, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Possess a driver's license in good standing, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test requirements.
