Electrical Laborer / Electrical Assistant Needed – Start Monday
📍 Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
We are hiring 6 Electrical Laborers / Electrical Assistants to support electricians on a commercial project starting Monday.
Openings

2 Positions – 1st Shift
4 Positions – 2nd Shift

Pay & Per Diem

$20–$25/hr (based on experience)
$100/day per diem for days worked

Job Duties

Assisting electricians with:

EMT and flex conduit installation
Pulling fire alarm cable
Installing and supporting fire alarm devices

Supporting VESDA system work (air monitoring systems), including:

Measuring, cutting, and gluing PVC piping
Following layout drawings and prints

Material handling, staging, and jobsite cleanup
General electrical labor and support tasks as directed

Requirements

Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to follow prints and instructions
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Basic hand tool knowledge preferred

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

Previous experience as an electrical helper or laborer
Fire alarm or low-voltage exposure a plus
