Job Description
Pay:
$28-$35
Per diem:
$100 per day
Duties:
4inch or less pipe
Pro press or Victaulic pipe
Operating scissor/boom lifts
Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm
Friday 6am-noon
Saturday: to be added when they get into later Spring/early Summer
This role involves installing and fitting 4-inch or smaller piping systems on a commercial healthcare construction project. You will work with ProPress and Victaulic piping, interpret blueprints, and safely operate aerial lifts while maintaining high standards of safety and quality on site.
Responsibilities
Install, fit, and assemble 4-inch or smaller piping systems in a commercial hospital environment.
Work with ProPress and Victaulic piping systems to complete installations to specification.
Read and interpret blueprints to plan and lay out pipe runs accurately.
Operate scissor and boom lifts safely to access elevated work areas.
Use basic hand tools such as cordless drills, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and hammers to perform daily tasks.
Follow all site safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for company-provided tools and equipment.
Travel reliably to the job site each day and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Document work as required and communicate progress or issues to site leadership.
Essential Skills
At least 3 years of pipefitting experience on commercial or industrial construction sites.
Hands-on experience working with Victaulic and ProPress piping systems.
Ability to read and work from blueprints for piping layout and installation.
Current OSHA 10 certification or higher.
Valid boom and scissor lift certification with the ability to operate aerial lifts safely.
Proficiency in pipe fitting and working with piping and carbon steel materials.
Ownership and competent use of basic hand tools including a cordless drill, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and a hammer.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel to the job site daily.
Consistent use of required PPE, including a Type 2 hard hat with chin strap, high-visibility gear, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and cut-resistant gloves.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to construction site safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Pipefitting Journeyman card or license.
Journeyman-level plumbing or pipefitting license.
OSHA 30 certification.
Experience with pipe welding and general welding tasks.
Experience with plumbing systems in commercial environments.
Additional experience working with copper pipe and ProPress systems.
Ability to work occasional overtime as project needs require.

Work Environment
This position is based on a large commercial healthcare construction project at a children’s hospital. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Saturday work anticipated in late spring and early summer as project demands increase. You will work both indoors and outdoors in an active construction site environment, frequently at heights using scissor and boom lifts. The role involves regular use of piping tools, ProPress and Victaulic systems, and basic hand tools, while additional specialized tools are provided on site. The required dress code includes full PPE: a Type 2 hard hat with chin strap, high-visibility clothing, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and cut-resistant gloves, in line with strict safety standards for a hospital construction setting.
