Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team for two significant projects, the QTS Data Center in New Albany and Riverside Hospital in Central Columbus. As a Sheet Metal Technician, you will be responsible for installing ductwork and sheet metal on industrial projects. This role requires experience with RTUs, curb units, and various sizes of ductwork. You must possess your own hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems.
Read blueprints and interpret specifications to determine installation needs within the building.
Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment, including duct/sheet metal, rooftop units, curbs, louvers, and hangers.
Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working order and perform timely maintenance.
Follow all OSHA and TPMC safety standards.
Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in sheet metal and duct work.
OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it before starting.
Experience setting curbs, hanging ducts, installing sheet metal, and setting rooftop units.
Ability to read blueprints for installation of curbs, duct, sheet metal, and rooftop units.
Own hand tools, including wrench, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, impact drill, 9/16ths sockets with impact adapter, and screwdrivers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience with installing louvers, setting rooftop equipment, rigging, ductwork/sheet metal.
Journeyman card is preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Must have a type 2 hard hat
osha 10
aerial lift cert
fall protection cert

Work Environment

Work on two projects: QTS Data Center in New Albany with hours from Monday to Friday, 6am-4:30pm, and Saturday offered. Riverside Hospital in Central Columbus with hours from Monday to Friday, 6:30am-3pm, eventually moving to 6:30am-5pm. The work environment is dynamic and offers the chance to engage in significant industrial projects.
