Schedule: MondaySaturday, 7:00 AM5:00 PM (hours may extend based on asphalt schedule)

Pay Range: $62,400$79,040 annually + OT (60+ hours potential)

SignOn Bonus: $3,000 (paid in three installments)

Position Overview

As a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic, you will perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment. Approximately 80% of work is performed in the field at active job sites using a companyprovided service truck.

You will be responsible for documenting all repairs, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to support ongoing operations.

* CAT 980 Loaders
* Pavers
* Milling Machines
* Rollers & Scrapers
* Excavators
* Compaction Equipment
* Asphalt Paving Equipment
* CAT 6090 and similar heavy machinery

Key Responsibilities

* Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
* Conduct daily inspections and preventative maintenance
* Respond to field service calls within a 50mile radius
* Document all repairs, parts used, and work performed
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
* Communicate equipment status and repair needs with supervisors and operators
* Operate a companyprovided service truck for field repairs

Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy equipment
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* Valid drivers license
* Clean MVR (no DUI or reckless driving)
* Ability to work extended hours based on project needs
* Comfortable working outdoors and in active construction environments
