Safety Coordinator with OSHA 500

US Trades is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Safety Coordinator to lead and enforce safety standards across our job sites. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment while promoting a strong culture of safety.

Position Overview

The Site Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all operations meet federal, state, and local safety regulations. This individual will lead safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, provide training, and serve as a key resource for both field teams and management.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable state and local safety regulations through routine site audits and hazard assessments
Conduct safety inspections and proactively identify and correct potential risks
Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation, PPE usage, and emergency response procedures
Serve as the first point of contact for incidents and accidents; lead investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection reports, incident logs, training records, and OSHA documentation
Manage and oversee PPE and safety equipment, including inspection, purchasing, and distribution
Lead safety meetings and actively promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organization
Partner with leadership to improve safety performance and ensure continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field OR 6 years working in the field
OSHA 500 Certification required
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both field personnel and leadership
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and mitigate risks
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
