Trillium Construction is seeking Millwrights and Riggers for a project in Phoenix, AZ.
Key Responsibilities for Millwrights
• Perform safe and precise rigging, moving, positioning, and setting of data center equipment including but not limited to:
o UPS systems
o Switchgear
o Generators
o Chillers
o CRAH/CRAC units
o Electrical skids and mechanical modules
• Utilize forklifts, telehandlers, machinery skates, jacks, dollies, and other material-handling tools to move and position equipment within the facility.
• Bolt up, align, and secure equipment according to manufacturer specifications and project drawings.
• Assist with mechanical assembly and support electrical scope work as required (non-energized unless qualified and authorized).
• Read and interpret rigging plans, lift plans, layout drawings, and installation documents.
• Work safely around sensitive, mission-critical equipment in live data center environments.
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements, and cleanroom protocols where applicable.
• Coordinate with supervisors, rigging crews, electricians, and mechanical contractors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Qualifications for Millwrights
• Proven experience as a Machinery Mover and/or Millwright, preferably in data centers, industrial facilities, or mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience with:
o Forklifts
o Telehandlers
o Machinery skates
o Hydraulic and mechanical jacks
• Ability to safely move and place heavy, high-value equipment in tight or controlled spaces.
• Strong understanding of rigging fundamentals and load handling.
• Forklift Certification (Required)
• Telehandler Certification (Required)
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (Required)
• Ability to work in active, operational data centers with heightened safety and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities for Riggers
• Inspect and prepare rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, hooks, and pulleys
• Determine the safest and most effective method for lifting and moving loads
• Attach rigging to loads using hand and power tools, following load charts and engineering specifications
• Signal or direct crane and equipment operators during lifts using standard hand signals or radio communication
• Ensure proper load balance and weight distribution
• Perform pre-lift checks and participate in lift planning meetings
• Monitor rigging operations for safety and make adjustments as necessary
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and rigging equipment
• Report damaged or defective rigging gear immediately
• Comply with all company and OSHA safety standards and protocols
Pay rate is $36/hour plus Per Diem: $100 / day for all 7 days. Schedule: Mon - Sat, 60h+ / week.
Qualifications for Riggers
-Either NCCER (LVL 1 or 2) or NCCCO Rigging certification
-Lift Certifications
-OSHA 10 certification
-Pre-employment screenings
