Licensed Electrician – Data Center Project (Medium-Voltage)
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Per Diem: $178/day (paid 7 days per week)
Schedule: 68 hours per week
Project Duration: Approximately 2 years
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Licensed Electricians to support a long-term data center construction project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role focuses on medium-voltage electrical work and offers a consistent, high-hour schedule with competitive pay and per diem. This is an excellent opportunity for electricians looking for stable, long-term work on a large-scale, high-profile project.
Scope of Work

Perform medium-voltage electrical installations on a data center project
Work with switchgear, transformers, conduit, cable tray, and related systems
Assist with terminations, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Follow all site safety procedures and electrical codes
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to meet project milestones

Schedule & Compensation

Work Schedule: 68 hours per week (overtime included)
Hourly Rate: $50/hour
Per Diem: $178 per day, paid 7 days per week (regardless of hours worked)
Project Length: 2-year duration with steady work throughout

Licensing Requirements

Must hold a current Iowa Electrical License
OR
Be licensed in a reciprocal state, including:

Alaska
Arkansas
Colorado
Minnesota
Montana
Nebraska
New Hampshire
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Dakota
Texas
Wisconsin
Wyoming

Qualifications

Proven experience performing medium-voltage electrical work
Data center or large commercial/industrial project experience preferred
Ability to work extended hours and meet demanding project schedules
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening (if applicable)
