Job Overview
Job Title: Startup CRO (Control Room Operator)

Project Type: Combined Cycle Power Plant Commissioning / Startup

Duration: 2 - 3 months

Schedule: 7 x 12s (84 hours per week)

Compensation & Logistics
Pay Rate: $60+ / hour

Per Diem: $135 / 7 days a week

Mobilization: $650 in / $650 out

Technical Execution & Responsibilities
Control Room Operations: Remotely operate, monitor, and optimize combined cycle plant systems from the main control room interface during critical initial startup phases.

Commissioning & Startup: Lead the initial rolling, synchronization, and testing sequences of newly installed or overhauled generation assets.

MHI Turbine Operations: Execute technical operations specifically tailored to Mitsubishi gas turbines and their auxiliary systems.

System Balancing: Manage the transient operations, steam blowing, and load transitions between the gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and steam turbine.

Safety, Quality & Documentation
Commissioning Safety: Adhere to rigid commissioning safety protocols, including specialized hot and cold functional testing boundary isolations.

Hazard Control: Enforce strict Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during equipment energization and system handovers.

Logkeeping: Maintain exhaustive startup records, alarm logs, and trip reports to track machine parameters and logic overrides.

Requirements
Experience: Proven commissioning and startup background within combined cycle power generation facilities.

Technical Specialty: Specific and proven experience working with Mitsubishi gas turbines.

Certifications: Not Specified

Tools: Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Mitsubishi control interfaces, and logic tracking tools.
