Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Scheduler opportunity in Carlsbad, NM to support the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).
Work Location: On-Site at WIPP
The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is the nation’s only permanent nuclear waste repository for defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste generated from Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. Waste is permanently isolated over 2,000 feet underground in deep salt beds.
Position Overview:
This role will train maintenance personnel on the effective use of Oracle Primavera P6 (P6) for planning and scheduling activities across multiple timeframes. This includes developing and managing the Plan of the Day, Plan of the Week, and Plan of the Month to improve coordination, efficiency, and execution of maintenance work.
Duties:
• Responsibilities include instructing staff on how to build, update, and maintain schedules within P6, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and resource availability.
• The role will also support the scheduling and tracking of preventive maintenance (PM) activities on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with maintenance requirements and minimizing downtime.
• Assist in scheduling, outage planning, and outage management, and scheduling, leveraging P6 to coordinate complex work scopes, optimize sequencing, manage resources, track execution progress, and ensure efficient completion of all outage activities.
• Integrate and institutionalize P6 scheduling practices into the existing maintenance program, providing guidance, standard processing, and support to ensure long-term adoption and sustainability.
Qualifications:
• P6 Schedule planning and production experience.
• US Citizenship required.
