Job Description

The Maintenance and Renovation Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, cleaning, and preparing modular units and trailers. Work is completed on-site using detailed work orders, with flexibility to prioritize tasks based on workload and weather conditions. If you enjoy handson renovation work, variety in your day, and a predictable schedule, this role offers a great balance. Youll work independently, follow clear work orders, and maintain clean, climatecontrolled unitswithout lastminute callouts or rotating shifts

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:

Connecting units to power and replacing light fixtures, switches, and basic electrical components

Repairing or replacing damaged flooring, tiles, trim, and interior finishes

Completing light renovation and finalstage remodel work (specialized trades are subcontracted)

Clean and prepare units for use (no separate cleaning team)

Review work orders and plan tasks to meet estimated completion times

Gather tools and materials and work independently throughout the day

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Start and finish shifts on time in a structured work environment

Essential Skills

At least 6 months of experience in construction, building, residential, or commercial maintenance

Confident using hand and power tools

Comfortable with both renovation work and cleaning tasks

Able to work independently and troubleshoot basic issues

Reliable, safetyfocused, and detailoriented

Drywall, flooring, basic plumbing, or light electrical work

Construction or renovation experience

General facility or property maintenance background

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in trailer maintenance, renovation, or similar mobile unit work is an asset.
* Experience working independently on building maintenance where you were responsible for multiple areas rather than a single function is beneficial.
* Comfort working with subcontracted licensed tradespeople and understanding when to escalate repairs beyond basic maintenance.
* Strong attention to detail when inspecting trailers for electrical, flooring, drywall, and plumbing issues.
* Ability to manage time effectively to complete multiple trailers or tasks within their estimated completion windows.
