MHE Quality Inspection Lead Needed - Madison, WI - $38/hr + $115 Per Diem (7 days) - 10 Week Project

LEAD Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Quality Inspection Lead for a large fulfillment center build-out in the Madison, WI area. This is a long-term travel assignment supporting the installation and quality verification of conveyor and material handling equipment (MHE) systems.

This role is ideal for a lead conveyor installer, millwright lead, QA/QC lead, or field supervisor who is comfortable managing a small team while remaining hands-on in the field.

Schedule: 50 Hours/Week (40 Regular + 10 OT)

Pay Package

$38/hr
$57/hr OT
$115/day Per Diem (7 Days/Week)
Weekly Per Diem: $805

Job Duties

- Lead a team of up to 6 quality inspectors
- Serve as the primary liaison between the inspection team and client QA management
- Assign daily work areas and monitor inspection progress
- Review inspection reports and ensure checklist completion
- Track and document punch list and snag items using client-provided software platforms
- Perform hands-on inspections of conveyor and material handling equipment installations
- Verify installations meet project specifications and quality standards
- Make minor field corrections and adjustments when authorized
- Operate scissor lifts to inspect elevated equipment and overhead systems
- Enforce all site safety requirements, including strict adherence to LOTO procedures

Requirements

5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Conveyor Installation
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Millwright Work
- Industrial Mechanical Installation
- Industrial Quality Inspection

- Previous experience leading field crews, inspection teams, or installation teams
- Strong understanding of industrial construction quality standards
- OSHA-10 Required (OSHA-30 Preferred)
- Scissor Lift Certification Required
- LOTO Training Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare status updates and communicate directly with client leadership
- Must be willing to travel and stay near the project site for the duration of the assignment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
