[Electrician] Electrical I&C Technician Needed! ($42-50/hr + $90 per diem)

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an Electrical I&C Technician for an immediate start in Brookshire, TX!

WEEKLY PAY --- OVERTIME --- PER DIEM

PAY: $42-$50/hour (based upon experience)
PER DIEM: $90/day for days worked (if outside 60 miles from job site)
HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (60 hours/week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday; 7:00am - 5:30pm
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 3+ months

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to support a large-scale commissioning project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, startup, testing, and commissioning activities. This role requires a safety-focused professional capable of troubleshooting, verifying, and validating system performance to ensure equipment and processes are fully operational and ready for turnover.

Responsibilities:
--Perform commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
--Verify installation quality and compliance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
--Execute loop checks, point-to-point testing, functional testing, and system validation activities.
--Calibrate and configure instrumentation devices, transmitters, control valves, and field equipment.
--Assist with energization activities and startup procedures.
--Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, one-lines, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
--Identify and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues during commissioning.
--Document test results, deficiencies, punch-list items, and corrective actions.
--Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and commissioning teams to achieve project milestones.
--Maintain compliance with all site safety requirements and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications:
--OSHA 10 Construction Certification required.
--Must possess a valid Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Apprentice Electrician License at minimum.
--5+ years of experience in industrial electrical, instrumentation, and controls work.
--Strong understanding of industrial control systems, instrumentation devices, and electrical distribution systems.
--Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop drawings, and control schematics.
--Proficient with electrical testing equipment, calibration tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
--Ability to work independently and as part of a commissioning team.

Preferred Qualifications:
--Previous commissioning and startup experience on industrial, manufacturing, power generation, oil & gas, chemical, data center, or similar projects.
--Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, or other industrial automation systems.
--Additional electrical licenses or certifications are a plus.
--Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Physical Requirements:
--Ability to work in industrial construction environments.
--Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access confined or restricted areas when required.
--Ability to lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
--Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work extended shifts as project demands require.

Additional Requirements:
--Must be eligible to work in the United States
--Must have reliable transportation to the job site
--Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
