Job Description

As an Install Technician, you assist with the installation, startup, and support of specialized heating solutions on semiconductor process equipment. You work hands-on in a cleanroom and sub-fab environment, wrapping and wiring heat trace materials on process lines, performing basic electrical troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality, reliable installations in a fast-paced, technical setting.

Responsibilities
* Install and support heating solutions on semiconductor tools and associated process lines.
* Wrap silicone-based flexible heat trace tape on vacuum pipes, exhaust lines, and gas lines that connect to semiconductor tools, using a consistent candy cane stripe pattern.
* Install insulation and additional protective tape over heat trace material to properly insulate and secure the wiring on pipes.
* Run electrical wiring to connect heating elements and related components, ensuring neat, safe, and code-compliant installations.
* Troubleshoot basic electrical issues during installation and startup, including verifying power, connections, and continuity.
* Handle and position equipment, tools, and materials safely throughout the installation process.
* Inspect completed installations to confirm correct application of heat trace, insulation, and wiring, and ensure systems operate as intended.
* Support product startup and assist with initial operation checks to confirm proper performance of the heating solutions.
* Work in confined and small spaces, including sub-fab areas, as required by the installation scope.
* Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including those related to confined spaces, lifting, and use of tools and equipment.
* Collaborate with a small team of 23 technicians to coordinate tasks, meet schedules, and maintain high installation quality.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools, materials, and equipment after use.
* Communicate progress, issues, and completion status to leads or supervisors in a clear and timely manner.

Essential Skills
* At least 1 year of technical-related experience or mechanical equipment assembly experience.
* Demonstrated electrical aptitude, including experience with installation or troubleshooting of electrical components.
* Hands-on mechanical skills and experience working with tools in construction, mechanical, or maintenance environments.
* Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues related to wiring and component connections.
* Ability to work in confined spaces and crawl into small areas as required by the installation.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
* Attention to detail when wrapping, insulating, and wiring pipes and lines.
* OSHA 10 certification.
* Comfort working in environments related to electrical, mechanical, construction, maintenance, or HVAC systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in construction, mechanical labor, or similar hands-on technical roles.
* Experience in electrical, maintenance, or HVAC work, including troubleshooting and installation.
* Strong manual dexterity and comfort working with hand and power tools.
* Ability to follow detailed installation procedures and technical instructions.
* Interest in pursuing a technical degree to support future growth into higher-level field service or field operations roles.

Work Environment

You work primarily on-site in semiconductor facilities, initially spending approximately six months in one fab location and then transitioning to another facility. Your time is split between about 30% in the fab and 70% in the sub-fab, including work in confined and small spaces. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday with a 7:00 a.m. start, with 810 hour shifts and occasional weekend work as needed. You work in teams of 23 technicians, using standard mechanical and electrical tools to install and support heating solutions on process equipment. The role begins as a contract position, with an anticipated 69 month contract period before potential conversion to a full-time role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
