Large scale Contractor is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to oversee and lead safety operations on a large-scale data center construction project in Cape Canaveral, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background high voltage electrical experience.

$35.00-$40.00/ hour - $150 daily per diem - 50 hour work week - night shift

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor, and enforce all site safety policies and procedures.
Conduct daily site inspections, hazard assessments, and equipment audits.

Lead site-specific safety orientations and ongoing safety training.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, and company safety standards.

Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate emergency response procedures and maintain safety documentation.
Required Qualifications

OSHA 30 Certification
Experience working on data center construction projects

High-voltage electrical construction experience or previous experience as an electrician

Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards

Fall Protection training and experience

Equipment training/certification (Forklifts and Scissor Lifts)

Trenching & Excavation training

Preferred Qualifications

- OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience
- Journeyman Electrician or NEC electrical knowledge
- Experience with heavy industrial or mission-critical construction projects
- Knowledge of heavy equipment safety and excavation safety requirements
