Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Commissioning Instrumentation & Controls Electricians for an immediate start in Brookshire, TX!
WEEKLY PAY --- OVERTIME --- PER DIEM
PAY: $50+/hour (based upon experience)
PER DIEM: $90/day for days worked (if outside 60 miles from job site)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (50+ hours/week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday; 6:00am - 4:30pm
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6+ months
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, terminating, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems in commercial or industrial environments. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, and able to interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
Responsibilities:
--Install, wire, terminate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
--Install and connect transmitters, sensors, pressure switches, flow meters, temperature devices, control valves, and other field instrumentation.
--Install and terminate control panels, PLC panels, junction boxes, and motor control equipment.
--Pull, route, and terminate power, control, and instrumentation cables.
--Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, loop drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
--Perform point-to-point checks, loop checks, and assist with commissioning and startup activities.
--Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues using electrical testing equipment.
--Calibrate field instrumentation and verify proper operation.
--Ensure all work is completed in accordance with NEC, project specifications, and company safety standards.
--Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and testing.
--Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
--Minimum 3 years of Instrumentation & Controls electrical experience in industrial or commercial construction.
--OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (Required).
--Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation devices, and industrial controls.
--Experience with PLC-controlled systems and motor controls is preferred.
--Ability to read and interpret:
--Electrical schematics
--P&IDs
--Loop drawings
--Instrument index drawings
--Wiring diagrams
--Proficient with electrical testing equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and process calibration equipment.
--Ability to install conduit, cable tray, and instrumentation tubing is preferred.
--Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
--Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
--Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements:
--Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
--Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces when required.
--Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and working in varying weather and industrial conditions.
--Must be able to wear required PPE throughout the workday.
Additional Requirements:
--Must be eligible to work in the United States
--Must have reliable transportation to the job site
--Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
