Workify Staffing is looking for a Mechanical Quality Control Technician for a Data Center in the Cedar Rapids, IA area!

This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale data center project where your expertise in piping systems and bolt torque verification will be put to work from day one. Pay: $35/hr

Shift/Schedule: To be determined (typically Monday-Saturday, 58-98 hours per week)

Estimated duration: 2 years of work!

Per Diem: $178 paid 7 days a week if all scheduled shifts are worked, if a shift is missed then it's $178 for days worked.

Responsibilities
Verify bolt torque on mechanical connections and document findings in accordance with project specifications and engineering requirements.
Perform piping system walk-downs to confirm completion, proper installation, and compliance with drawings and applicable standards.
Conduct punchlist inspections including bolt-up and torque checks, entering all inspection data into tracking tools accurately and on time.
Review, coordinate, and file NDE/NDT reports in collaboration with NDE personnel to support inspection planning and execution.
Assemble and review project documentation packages to ensure all quality records are complete, organized, and audit-ready.
Assist with pressure testing plans and support the development and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (I&TPs).

Qualifications
Demonstrated hands-on experience performing bolt torque verification and piping system walk-downs in an industrial or construction setting is required.
Knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT) with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A documented training or hands-on hours preferred.
AWS CWI or ASNT VT II certification preferred, or ability to pass the VT II exam.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.
Must pass a 7-year background check, OSHA 10 certification, and 10-panel drug screen; resume must clearly highlight experience with primary job duties.
