Senior Scheduler — Data Centers (1099 Contract)

Rate: $80–$110/hr (1099, depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to support active data center construction projects. In this role, you will develop and maintain CPM schedules across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, working closely with project managers, superintendents, trade partners, and owner representatives.

This is a hands-on position with a team that is already in motion, so we are looking for someone comfortable stepping into an ongoing program and contributing early. You will have ownership of the schedule and direct visibility with project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed CPM schedules in Primavera P6 across all project phases
• Facilitate schedule development sessions with general contractors, trade partners, and owner teams to establish realistic durations and logic
• Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis, identifying risks and communicating them early
• Produce weekly and monthly schedule updates, look-aheads, progress reports, and variance narratives
• Develop what-if scenarios and recovery schedules as project conditions change
• Support change order and delay analysis with well-documented schedule data
• Coordinate long-lead equipment and procurement milestones with construction sequencing
• Align commissioning and IT/fit-out activities through turnover and handover

Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years of construction scheduling experience with a strong working knowledge of CPM methodology
• Advanced Primavera P6 skills, including building schedules from scratch, resource and cost loading, baselines, layouts, and reporting
• Data center scheduling experience, or comparable large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical work
• A track record of joining project teams and becoming productive quickly
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to present schedule status and risk to owners and executive stakeholders
• Eligible to work as a 1099 independent contractor

Preferred

• Mission-critical, hyperscale, or colocation project experience
• Familiarity with commissioning sequences (L1–L5) and MEP-intensive scopes
• Schedule risk analysis experience (Monte Carlo, Acumen Fuse, or similar)
• Exposure to delay claims or forensic schedule analysis

• Classification: 1099 independent contractor, responsible for own taxes, insurance, and benefits
• Rate: $80–$110/hr based on experience, credentials, and scope of responsibility
• Hours: Full-Time
• Site presence / travel: Primarily remote, with on-site presence required approximately once per month. More frequent site visits may be requested by the contractor or owner, or to support pull planning sessions and other key milestones
