Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Civil/Structural Analyst opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Civil/Structural Analyst-

Duties:

Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following: Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration.

Education/Skills:

MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
A sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
Must have the ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
