Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Combo Welder for an immediate start in Sparks, NV!

WEEKLY PAY --- OVERTIME --- PER DIEM!

PAY: $43/hour
PER DIEM: $90/day for days worked (if outside 60 miles from job site)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-10-hour workdays, 5-6 days per week (50+ hours/week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday; 7:00am - 5:30pm
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6+ months

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Combo Welder with advanced welding skills and the ability to perform critical welds with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in challenging work environments and demonstrate a consistent commitment to quality, safety, and production standards.

Primary qualification: Proven competency performing stick root with TIG fill and cap in the 6G position.

Key Responsibilities:
--Perform high-quality pipe and structural welds using multiple welding processes.
--Complete 6G welds using stick (SMAW) for the root and TIG (GTAW) for fill and cap.
--Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
--Prepare, fit, align, and weld components according to project specifications and WPS requirements.
--Perform critical welds with minimal supervision while maintaining strict quality standards.
--Inspect welds for defects and make necessary corrections to ensure weld integrity.
--Maintain proper welding parameters and techniques throughout the welding process.
--Follow all OSHA, company, and project-specific safety procedures.
--Maintain a clean and safe work area, particularly in demanding or hazardous job-site environments.
--Properly use welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and required PPE.
--Work effectively in confined spaces, elevated areas, and other challenging work environments as required.

Qualifications:
--OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required. (or be willing to get)
--Demonstrated advanced welding skills using multiple welding processes.
--Required: Competency with stick root and TIG fill/cap in the 6G position.
--Ability to successfully complete critical welds with minimal supervision.
--Strong understanding of welding procedures, safety practices, and quality requirements.
--Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld maps, and WPS documentation.
--Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.
--Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
--Must be comfortable working in physically demanding and challenging job-site conditions.

Preferred Skills:
--Previous industrial, power generation, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy commercial construction experience.
--Experience with pipe welding and critical-service applications

--Must be eligible to work in the United States
--Must have reliable transportation to the job site
--Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
