Mechanical Superintendents - Material Handling Installation | Nationwide Travel

ASBECO is seeking experienced Mechanical Superintendents for conveyor and material handling system installation projects throughout the United States. $35-$40/hr.

Purpose
Responsible for the successful, safe, quality, and timely completion of mechanical installation projects. The Mechanical Superintendent oversees field Foremen, Leads, Millwrights, and other project resources while ensuring installations meet ASBECO standards.

Responsibilities
-Oversee mechanical installation of conveyor and material handling systems
-Manage Mechanical Foremen, Leads, Millwrights, and field crews
-Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to ASBECO quality standards
-Manage multiple projects and/or projects in different geographic locations
-Monitor manpower, productivity, project progress, and field performance
-Coordinate installation activities and resolve field issues
-Ensure required project documentation is completed
-Read and execute work from drawings, schematics, and installation plans
-Manage crews of 15+ workers when required
-Maximize productivity while maintaining safety and crew morale
-Assist with project planning and quoting as needed

-Strong leadership and field supervision
-Extensive conveyor and material handling installation knowledge
-Ability to manage large installation crews
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
-Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and challenging field conditions
-Experience with heavy equipment such as lulls, forklifts, and cranes

Requirements
-Minimum 10+ years of supervisory experience in the mechanical installation of material handling systems
-Extensive hands-on conveyor installation experience
-Proven experience supervising mechanical installation crews
-Must be a working Superintendent
-Must be able to read drawings and schematics
-Must be reliable, dependable, and safety-focused
-Must be willing and able to travel extensively nationwide
