AWS-Certified Welders - Material Handling Installation | Nationwide Travel

ASBECO is seeking experienced AWS-Certified Welders for conveyor and material handling system installation projects throughout the United States. $24-$30/hr.

Purpose
Responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and related mechanical installation work required for conveyor and material handling installation projects.

Responsibilities
-Perform welding associated with conveyor and material handling installations
-Weld structural and mechanical components required for conveyor installations
-Perform field fabrication and modification as required by project conditions
-Read and work from drawings, layouts, and installation plans
-Assist mechanical crews with conveyor installation and assembly as needed
-Ensure welding activities meet project quality and safety requirements
-Inspect completed welds and maintain workmanship standards
-Maintain welding equipment and work areas in safe operating condition
-Coordinate welding activities with Mechanical Leads, Foremen, and Superintendents
-Follow ASBECO and project-specific safety requirements

Skills
-Strong welding and fabrication skills
-Strong mechanical aptitude
-Hands-on conveyor/material handling installation knowledge
-Ability to read drawings and installation plans
-Ability to perform accurate field measurements and fabrication
-Ability to work independently and as part of a mechanical installation crew
-Strong attention to quality and detail
-Strong commitment to jobsite safety

Requirements
-Current AWS welding certification required
-Minimum 5+ years of direct conveyor/material handling system installation experience
-Must have experience performing welding and fabrication within conveyor/material handling installation environments
-Must be reliable and dependable
-Must be safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a traveling installation crew
-Must be willing to assist with mechanical installation activities as required
-Must be willing and able to travel extensively nationwide
