Instrument Fitters – 2 Positions Available
Location: Gillette, Wyoming
Pay: $36–$40/hour
Per Diem: $140/day worked
Schedule: Currently 6 days/week, 10-hour shifts (6/10s). Schedule will transition to 13 days on / 1 day off in a few weeks.
Scope of Work
We are seeking 2 experienced Instrument Fitters for an industrial construction project in Gillette, Wyoming.
Responsibilities include:
• Install stainless-steel instrument tubing for process and control systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" stainless-steel tubing according to project specifications.
• Install tubing supports, brackets, clamps, and associated hardware.
• Mount and secure field instrumentation, including pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, gauges, switches, and control valves.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, tubing isometric drawings, and instrumentation layout drawings.
• Perform tubing pressure tests and leak checks as directed.
• Work closely with electricians and instrumentation technicians during equipment installation and commissioning.
• Must be willing to assist GRC conduit personnel as needed.
• Install posts and perform related field construction work.
• Cut, thread, and bend GRC conduit.
Preferred Experience
• Previous experience on utility-scale solar power generation, industrial refinery, chemical plant, or similar process facilities.
• Familiarity with Swagelok or Parker compression tube fittings.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed construction drawings.
• Must be proficient in bending 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" stainless-steel tubing.
