[Electrician] Travel Commercial Electrician $34 + 100 a day per diem

Job Title: Commercial Electrician $34/hr. with $100/day per diem, 5, 10s, potential for additional OT to follow
Duration: at least 3 months, could go into march 2027 dependent on changeovers
This contract role offers experienced commercial electricians the opportunity to support a large new construction project at a soybean facility campus. You will install and work with galvanized conduit, pull wire, and build cable tray systems, with a significant portion of the work performed at heights. The position follows a structured schedule with the potential for long-term work based on performance.

Responsibilities
� Install and bend galvanized electrical conduit, primarily 3/4-inch and 1-inch, with some work on conduit up to 2 inches.
� Pull and route electrical wire through conduit and cable tray systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
� Build, install, and secure cable tray systems to support campus-wide electrical infrastructure.
� Work safely and efficiently at heights, following tie-off requirements and using provided fall protection equipment and harnesses.
� Use basic hand tools to perform daily electrical tasks, including measuring, cutting, bending, fastening, and terminating as required.
� Follow site-specific safety rules, including the use of required personal protective equipment such as Type II hardhat, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
� Coordinate with foremen and other team members to complete assigned work packages in refinery, packaging, fire alarm, and other campus areas.
� Participate in site orientation and adhere to all procedures and instructions provided for working on the campus.
� Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are stored safely.
� Support project timelines by working scheduled 10-hour shifts and adjusting to expanded schedules as project demands increase.
Essential Skills
� At least 5 years of true commercial electrical experience, including extensive work with galvanized conduit.
� Demonstrated ability to install and work with 3/4-inch and 1-inch galvanized conduit, with some experience up to 2 inches.
� Proven experience pulling wire and installing cable tray systems in commercial or industrial environments.
� Ability to work safely and confidently at heights, including working with a 4-foot tie-off requirement.
� OSHA 10 certification.
� Capability to use and maintain basic electrical hand tools required for commercial construction work.
� Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction practices and jobsite safety requirements.
� Reliability to work scheduled 10-hour shifts and maintain consistent attendance throughout the contract.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
� Comfort working in large, multi-area industrial or commercial campuses such as refinery, packaging, and fire alarm systems.
� Experience on new construction projects with multiple concurrent work packages.
� Ability to adapt to changing schedules, including transitioning from four 10-hour days to five 10-hour days as project needs grow.
� Willingness to travel for work, with eligibility for per diem when working 75 miles or more from the site.
� Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with foremen and other electricians.
� Attention to detail in following installation specifications and safety procedures
