Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Vendor Surveillance Specialist opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Vendor Surveillance Specialist-
The Vendor Surveillance Specialist will support project Quality activities by performing surveillance and oversight of suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and fabricators providing equipment, materials, and services for a large construction project. They will help ensure purchased items and supplier activities comply with applicable procurement documents, drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and project quality requirements.
Duties:
- Perform vendor, supplier, subcontractor, and fabrication surveillance activities at supplier facilities and project locations.
- Review purchase orders, specifications, drawings, quality requirements, inspection plans, procedures, and supplier documentation to determine applicable surveillance requirements.
- Perform or witness inspections, tests, hold points, and other quality activities during fabrication and manufacturing.
- Verify materials, components, equipment, fabrication activities, and documentation conform to approved technical and quality requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify quality issues, deficiencies, deviations, and nonconforming conditions.
- Document surveillance activities and prepare clear, accurate surveillance and inspection reports.
- Review supplier quality records, certifications, test reports, material documentation, inspection records, and other objective evidence.
- Coordinate resolution of supplier quality issues with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Construction, and vendor personnel.
- Support NCRs, corrective actions, supplier deficiencies, and closure of quality issues as required.
- Verify required inspections, testing, documentation, and quality records are complete prior to release, shipment, receipt, or acceptance.
- Support supplier audits, source inspections, receipt inspection, and procurement quality activities as assigned.
- Travel to supplier and fabrication facilities as required.
Skills/Experience:
- Eleven (11)+ years of relevant experience in vendor surveillance, supplier quality, procurement quality, quality assurance, quality control, inspection, manufacturing, fabrication, or related technical work preferred.
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, purchase orders, procurement documents, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
- Experience with inspection and surveillance of mechanical, piping, welding, electrical, instrumentation, civil/structural, or other industrial equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of NCRs, corrective actions, inspection documentation, material traceability, and quality records.
- Strong written documentation, communication, and supplier-interface skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to vendor and fabrication locations as required.
- Experience with ITPs, hold/witness points, NCRs, corrective actions, and turnover documentation.
- Experience identifying and documenting nonconforming conditions and CAQs.
- Ability to perform field inspections in active construction areas and access uneven terrain, excavations, and underground utility work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nuclear, DOE, EPC, power generation, heavy industrial, or major construction project experience.
- Supplier surveillance, source inspection, receipt inspection, procurement quality, or supplier audit experience.
- NQA-1 experience strongly preferred.
