Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities CAD Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Davenport, Iowa.

Overview

The Facilities Records Analyst will serve as a dedicated, full-time, on-site resource supporting a key manufacturing client at their facility. The role involves assessing existing conditions, maintaining accurate CAD documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the integrity of building records.

Responsibilities

Serve as the dedicated, on-site CAD resource at the client's facility, typically 4–5 days per week.
Partner with the Plant Manager to assess existing facility conditions and update CAD documentation.
Conduct quality checks and reviews of existing documentation against current field conditions.
Coordinate with internal business units and external partners to confirm record conditions.
Maintain a well-organized digital database of as-built files, ensuring accessibility, currency, and version control.
Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual conditions and resolve or escalate as needed.
Communicate with facility stakeholders regarding documentation status and project updates.
Qualifications

5-8 years of experience working on commercial CAD documentation, as-built drawing management, or facilities documentation.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD, with 3+ years of AutoCAD experience preferred.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to documentation accuracy and quality control.
Experience maintaining digital databases of as-built and record drawings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate across multiple business units and stakeholder groups.
Self-motivated, self-managed, and able to work independently on-site.
Based in or willing to commute to either Cordova, Illinois or Davenport, Iowa.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Revit is highly preferred.
Background in architecture or engineering is advantageous.
Experience assessing field conditions and translating findings into accurate CAD updates.
