Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced traveling Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise an electrical installation crew on a large-scale distribution center project supporting the installation and commissioning of conveyor and automated material handling systems.
The Electrical Foreman will be responsible for directing daily field activities, assigning work to electricians and electrical installers, ensuring installations are completed safely and according to project drawings and specifications, and coordinating closely with the Project Manager, General Contractor, Mechanical Foreman, and site leadership.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on electrical installation experience in industrial, warehouse, distribution center, conveyor, or automated material handling environments and previous experience leading an electrical crew.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and coordinate a crew of electricians and electrical installers.
Plan and assign daily work activities based on project schedule and priorities.
Install and oversee installation of conveyor systems and related electrical components.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and installation plans.
Perform and oversee installation of:
Conveyor motors and motor connections
Electrical panels and control panels
Disconnects and junction boxes
Conduit and cable tray
EMT and other raceway systems
Control wiring
Sensors, photo-eyes, and field devices
Power distribution and branch circuits
Low-voltage control and communication wiring
Ensure proper routing, termination, labeling, and organization of electrical wiring.
Coordinate electrical installation activities with mechanical conveyor installation crews.
Troubleshoot electrical installation issues and assist with startup and commissioning activities.
Monitor crew productivity and ensure work stays on schedule.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with drawings and specifications.
Communicate manpower needs, material requirements, schedule concerns, and field issues to project management.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and reinforce site safety requirements.
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA, NEC, customer requirements, and project-specific safety procedures.
Train and mentor electricians and installers as needed.
Assist with punch-list completion, system testing, troubleshooting, and final turnover.

Qualifications
7+ years of industrial/commercial electrical installation experience, preferably in conveyor or automated material handling systems.
2+ years of electrical crew leadership or foreman experience preferred.
Experience installing conveyor, automated material handling, or similar industrial equipment strongly preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Experience with conduit, cable tray, panels, motor controls, sensors, control wiring, and electrical terminations.
Knowledge of conveyor electrical systems and automated material handling equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively direct and manage a field crew.
Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Electrical license or journeyman-level experience preferred, depending on project requirements.
Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift certification is a plus.

Leadership Expectations
The Electrical Foreman must be comfortable working hands-on while leading the crew. This position requires someone who can set expectations, keep installers productive, identify issues before they impact the schedule, and communicate effectively with both field personnel and project management.
The successful candidate will be a strong field leader who understands both electrical installation and automated conveyor systems and can take ownership of the electrical scope from installation through startup and punch-list completion.

Work Environment
Large-scale distribution center and industrial construction environment
Active construction site with conveyor and automated material handling equipment
Standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, and working at heights may be required
Ability to lift and handle electrical materials and equipment
Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, or varying shifts based on project schedule
Must comply with all site, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements
