[Electrician] TRAVELING ELECTRICIANS NEEDED

Talascend is seeking experienced Traveling Electricians to support our client, a leading conveyor system integrator, on industrial material handling and warehouse automation projects throughout the United States.


PAY: $30-35hr plus $178 a day per diem ( if you qualify)

Must have 3–7+ years electrical/conveyor installation!!


Key Responsibilities
electrical installation on conveyor system integration and warehouse automation projects.
installation, wiring, and termination of conveyor motors, sensors, photo-eyes, control panels, VFDs, and associated electrical components.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and installation drawings.
Plan daily manpower, assign tasks, and coordinate work activities to maintain project schedules.

Coordinate with mechanical installation teams, project managers, controls technicians, and customer representatives.
Support electrical testing, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning of conveyor and automated material handling systems.
Ensure installation work meets project specifications, quality standards, and applicable electrical codes.
Promote and enforce jobsite safety requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe electrical work practices.
Track daily progress, manpower, materials, and project issues.
Identify installation challenges and communicate solutions to project management.
Assist with project punch-list completion, system turnover, and customer acceptance activities.
Travel to various customer sites or varying shifts as project schedules require.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 3-7 years of industrial electrical installation experience, preferably within conveyor systems, material handling, or warehouse automation.

Strong understanding of electrical installation, wiring, conduit, cable pulling, terminations, and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and installation drawings.
Experience with conveyor systems, automated material handling equipment, or distribution center construction.
Familiarity with motors, sensors, photo-eyes, relays, control panels, VFDs, and industrial electrical components.
Ability to coordinate manpower, maintain schedules, and communicate effectively with project leadership and customers.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project deadlines.
Willingness to travel extensively and work on active construction and installation sites.
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and safely use required jobsite equipment.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), sortation systems, conveyors, shuttles, unit-load systems, mini-load systems, or vertical lift modules (VLM).
Experience supporting controls installation, PLC-related wiring, VFD setup, testing, and commissioning.
OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training.
Electrical license, apprenticeship completion, or formal industrial electrical training.
Experience working on Amazon, distribution center, or large-scale warehouse automation projects.
Experience supervising multiple electrical crews or subcontractors.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work in industrial construction environments for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry materials and tools as required.
Ability to work from elevated platforms, ladders, lifts, and other approved access equipment.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and active construction environments.
Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project.
