Mission Critical – Data Center -Medium Voltage Electrician / MV Termination

• Location: Abilene, TX
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Duration: Minimum 3 months
• Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Pay: $40/hour
• Per Diem: $150/day

Job Overview

PPS is recruiting experienced Journeyman Electricians for a 35kV MV project supporting MMR in Abilene, Texas.

We're looking for electricians with actual medium-voltage termination experience — this is not a general electrical construction position.

• EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 15kV–35kV medium-voltage cable terminations
• 35kV deadbreak elbows / T-bodies
• MV deadbreak vaults
• MV switchgear
• Reclosers
• Transfer skids / transfer equipment
• Cable preparation, splicing and termination
• Experience working with 600A/900A MV equipment is a plus

Ideal candidates: Journeyman Electricians, MV Electricians, Cable Splicers, Utility Electricians, Substation Electricians and experienced IBEW travelers with proven MV termination experience.

Experience Requirement

• Terminations at Mission Critical – Data Center
• Medium Voltage (MV): ~1 kV – 35 kV
• High Voltage (HV): > 35 kV

Voltage experience with shielded MV cable systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on medium voltage electrical systems
• Terminations at Mission Critical – Data Center
• Familiarity with MV cable construction, shielding, and insulation
• Experience with indoor and outdoor MV terminations
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and best practices
• Ability to work a 6–10’s schedule consistently
