Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Pipe Welder for an immediate start in Sparks, NV!

WEEKLY PAY --- OVERTIME --- LONG TERM

PAY: $35-43/hour (based upon experience)
PER DIEM: $90/day for days worked
HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays, 6 days per week (60+ hours/week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Saturday
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 3+ months

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join our team for industrial and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong pipe welding experience and the ability to perform high-quality welds while following project specifications, safety procedures, and welding standards.

Responsibilities:
--Perform pipe welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required.
--Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, weld maps, and welding specifications.
--Perform welding using SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and/or FCAW processes as required.
--Weld pipe in various positions, including 6G, as required by the project.
--Prepare pipe and joints for welding, including fitting, alignment, beveling, and cleaning.
--Inspect completed welds for quality and proper penetration.
--Use welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other hand and power tools safely.
--Follow WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and project-specific welding requirements.
--Maintain a clean and safe work area.
--Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
--Work effectively with pipefitters, welders, supervisors, and other trades.
--Perform other welding-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
--3+ years of pipe welding experience.
--Experience welding pipe in industrial or commercial construction environments.
--Ability to weld in multiple positions, including 6G.
--Ability to read and understand blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
--Must be able to pass a weld test.
--Ability to safely operate welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools.
--Basic understanding of pipe fitting and alignment.
--OSHA 10 Construction certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
--Must have reliable transportation.
--Must be able to work overtime and/or extended shifts when required.

Preferred Qualifications:
--Experience with 6G pipe welding.
--Experience with carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe.
--Current welding certifications.
--Industrial plant, refinery, power generation, chemical plant, or manufacturing experience.
--Experience working from WPS/PQR specifications.
--NCCER or other recognized welding credentials.
