JOB OPENING: JOURNEYMAN PIPEFITTERS

Position Overview
Tradesmen International is seeking qualified Journeyman Pipefitters for an industrial project near Hackberry, Louisiana. Candidates must have a minimum of four years of industrial construction or maintenance experience. NCCER Pipefitter certification is preferred but not required.
Compensation and Work Schedule
• NCCER-Certified Pipefitters: $39.50 per hour
• Non-Certified Pipefitters: $37.50 per hour
• Night Shift Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour
• Per Diem: $105 per day worked
• Work Schedule: 5–7 ten-hour shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 50–70 hours
• Available Positions: 20
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of four years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance.
• NCCER Pipefitter certification preferred, but not mandatory.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping isometric drawings (ISOs), field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and project specifications.
• Experience fabricating and installing screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless steel tubing, carbon steel weld pipe, and stainless-steel weld pipe.
• Proficiency in pipe mitering and fabrication.
Primary Responsibilities
• Install valves, underground piping, pipe hangers, and supports.
• Perform steam and heat-tracing installations.
• Operate pipe-beveling equipment.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and minor valve maintenance.
• Conduct piping system tests and tubing leak tests.
• Perform oxygen and acetylene cutting.
• Execute basic rigging operations.
• Operate pneumatic and electric tools safely and effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of project requirements.
Pre-Employment Requirements
• Successful completion of a 12-panel rapid drug test is required before starting work.
