Lead Solar Technician

Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Temp to Direct

Looking for a Lead Solar Tech for a 6 month temp-to- perm hire. Candidate must reside in New Jersey and will be traveling between MA and MD. Please send resumes to nick.miller@ersg-global.us


• Journeyman Electrical license is preferred
• O&M commercial PV background
• IV Curve Tracing Experience
• OSHA 10
• NFPA training preferred
• IR Imaging Training
• Reside in NJ area
• Travel between states of MA to MD

Pay $35-40/hr for hour. Top end MUST have Journeyman and NFPA

$30/day per diem for M&I when traveling. Hotel, flight, rental, etc paid by client.
Commercial/Industrial projects

Responsibilities
• Performing required preventive maintenance activities on commercial PV systems to maintain warranty coverage responding to corrective maintenance cases on PV systems.
• Installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical components.
• Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Testing electrical systems of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as thermal cameras, IV curve tracers, multimeters, etc, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Install and maintain monitoring systems.
• Generate material and labor take-offs for quotes.
• Report writing, data analysis, and work order activity documenting.
• Working closely with customers.
• Prioritizing work requests and self-schedule.
• Working with customers who are unhappy with the performance/functionality of their systems.
• Ensuring the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for and taken care of.
• Attending training courses.
• Working safely and in accordance with OSHA.
• Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the Service team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master Electrician or Journeyman card
• NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certificate
• OSHA 10 for Construction Certificate
• Formal training certificate or degree in electrical field
• Trade experience in roofing
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience in the electrical industry
• 2+ years’ experience of PV System design, installation, operations & maintenance (O&M),
• Experience in the electrical service and/or maintenance industry
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, lift 100 pounds, and must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to work outdoors in extreme environments
• Must be extremely organized with documentation
• Proficient use of tablets and computers
• Schedule and execute time sensitive work orders
