ERSG is currently seeking a Solar PV Systems Developer for a 6+ month contract in NC.

Position Overview – In concert with the existing O&M department, this position is responsible for developing and supporting both new and existing software and hardware systems that support the operations and monitoring functions of the O&M department. This position will also participate in ongoing maintenance of electrical systems required to maintain the high availability and production capacity of Solar-Op’s generating assets; supporting Solar-Op’s goal to provide best-in-class O&M services capability.

Job Responsibilities – Include, but are not limited to:

• Be a willing practitioner and positive advocate of Solar-Op’s safety culture and practices to maintain a zero-recordables work environment
• Remotely monitor the operational status of the generating assets, logging outages and creating maintenance workorders
• Develop hardware and software solutions that support the department’s daily Operations & Maintenance functions and the monitoring and control of Solar-Op’s commercial generating assets
• Support software and settings configuration of monitoring and controls solutions based on project specific requirements
• Support field installations of monitoring and controls solutions at project locations
• Assist with the procurement, tracking, and documentation of consumed parts and tools
• Develop written process, troubleshooting and systems procedure documentation
• Attend technical training for new and existing equipment to support Solar-Op’s adoption and support of new equipment and technology

Minimum Qualifications

• Required – Proficient communicator via phone, email, and creating technical documents using MS Office (or equivalent) software products.
• Required – Previous experience with object-oriented-programming (ruby, python, similar)
• Strongly Preferred – Full stack web based software development experience using modern languages and frameworks (HTML5, javascript/JQuery, CSS, JSON, Python)
• Strongly Preferred – Database development and report query using SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Preferred – User interface design/development, graphic design bitmap/vector
• Preferred – Linux server administration for maintenance of OS patches, FTP folder/user permissions, disk space, web application code base publishing (GitHub)
• Preferred – Monitoring and Controls experience using Modbus RTU (TCP and RS485) sensors using PLC ladder logic for programmatic functions
• Preferred – Experience troubleshooting equipment using only data analysis
• Preferred – Experience with soldering and IC board development
