1. Job position: SITE MANAGER
Reporting to: Project Manager
Location: Project sites across Japan
Other possible locations: Taiwan and Australia
2. Job description:
§ Full responsibility on schedule and QC/HS for all the sites
§ Direct supervision of works according to his/her background (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
§ Management of client’s Supervisors (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.) at the site.
§ Direct supervision and coordination of subcontractors.
3. Job responsibilities
§ Administrative control at site. Entire job site management (client’s Supervisors and Subcontractors)and daily reporting.
§ Schedule control: arrange construction master schedule and daily follow-up
§ Implementation and optimization of working processes and establishment of time management
§ Preparation of draft requests for quotations (RFQ) for any supplies needed at the site
§ Construction quality control and health & safety supervision
§ Supervision of civil works, ramming works, mechanical assembling, electrical installation and
§ Supervision of performance tests
§ Prepare hand-over certification
§ Manage petty cash at the site office
§ Site control of client’s machinery, equipment, tools and construction materials inventory
(additional BOM following-up)
§ Claims management
§ Daily, weekly and monthly reports to Project Manager
§ Languages: Full professional proficiency level in both Japanese and English.
§ Personal assets:
ü Problem solver
ü Self-starter, detail-oriented and experienced time organizer
ü Ability to lead project working groups
ü Essential technical knowledge and experience
ü Good team player, having excellent communication skills and manners
§ Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, etc.), MS Project (or similar), AutoCAD, etc.
§ Relevant qualifications and work experience
ü Master/bachelor’s degree in engineering or professional proven training/education
ü Minimum 3 years of construction experience, ideally in photovoltaic solar power plants
ü Health & Safety certification or similar qualification
ü Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification or similar qualification (desired but not necessary)
ü General knowledge of Japanese Electrical and Civil Standards & Regulations, as well as
International Mechanical Standards & Regulations
§ Driver License
