[Millwright] Turbine Millwrights Needed

Enscicon is currently hiring for qualified turbine journeyman millwrights, welders, machinists and millwright apprentices for our Field Services Division. Come join our growing network of employees and work on power plant projects all across the country. If you have worked on any hydroelectric, steam or gas turbine projects, we are looking for you!


Qualifications/Knowledge:

Minimum 2-years of prior Millwright experience, preferably working on hydroelectric plants.
Plant outage experience required performing disassembly / reassembly of various power generation turbines equipment.
Principles and practices of maintaining multi-purpose Hydroelectric generating facilities, including dams, powerhouses, valve and gate houses and equipment associated with these facilities.
Principles and practices of maintaining multi-purpose Steam, Gas or Nuclear Plants and Facilities, including powerhouses and equipment associated with these facilities.
Safe operation of heavy construction equipment.
Theory and application of repair and replacement practices for mechanical equipment and heavy industrial machinery used at hydroelectric power generating facilities.
Principles and practices of customer service.
Perform skilled duties involving machining, mechanical maintenance, welding, pipefitting and rigging.
Align motors and pumps, shafts and couplings.
Scrape and hand fit babitt bearings on hydroelectric generators and turbines.
Operate project gantry cranes.
Read and understand manuals, drawings, plans and specifications.
Use a wide range of hand and power tools.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Repair, rebuild and replace mechanical equipment such as hydraulic turbines, governing systems, pumps, air compressors, oil pumps, large valves, gate hoist systems.
Perform various types of welding (oxygen-acetylene, shielded metal-arc, TIG, MIG), cutting (oxygen-acetylene, carbon arc)
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Must be available for extensive travel and long hours.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
