Solar experience - 25 mega watt solar background is desired
Looking for utility scale solar work.
Not looking for the guy who bounced around and did 20 rooftop solar installs
Wind renewables is not transferrable at the site manager level
This individual will need experience in the energy market and preferably have solar experience.
Identify and review safety hazard analysis for construction activities
10+ years of field experience in commercial, utility, or industrial construction
3+ years of utility scale solar installation experience as a project lead/manager
Knowledge in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical solar construction
Expertise in single axis tracker installations for a minimum of a 25 MW DC site.
Market relationships related to utility grade solar manufacturers, this should include trackers, module, inverters, and specialized solar install tooling.
Survey equipment knowledge for site installation and layout of all equipment
Electrical background related to medium voltage/DC underground installation, DC above ground terminations and wire management, medium voltage terminations, testing requirements for DC/AC, IV curve testing and commissioning.
SCADA systems integration and coordination for performance testing
Permitting experience related to SWPPP and other pertinent state, local, and national requirements
Engineering/Construction degree preferred but not required
Review cost estimates
Manage phase codes for tracking productivity
Labor management of both non union and union labor agreement markets
Determine crew sizes based on manhours, schedule, and productivity rates
Logistical knowledge for sequencing deliveries for all major components which would include equipment necessary to accommodate the delivery rate and the rate of install.
Review, develop, and manage project schedule
Subcontractor packaging review and onsite management
Experience in managing a staff of 15+ employees
Review daily work progress and adjust for recovery as necessary
This individual will need experience in the energy market and preferably have solar experience although the solar experience is a preference and not a requirement.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project.
Expert understanding of all construction disciplines.
Position requires excellent communications skills and supervisory skills of field construction personnel.
Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
