Title: Biogas Tank Service Technician
Position Type: Contract 
Location: Hartford, MI
Reports to: Project Manager

Key Project Requirements:
•    Must be comfortable working in and around biogas tanks containing cow manure and other organic waste materials.
•    Clean shaven daily to ensure proper fit and seal of provided respiratory protection (PPD).
•    Must have steel-toe or composite-toe work boots (all other PPE provided).
•    Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools required; ability to safely perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks

Job Summary:  
NAES is seeking Biogas Tank Service Technicians to support maintenance, service, and clean-out operations on biogas storage tanks at agricultural facilities. This is a hands-on role working in and around tanks containing cow manure and other organic materials used in biogas production. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and not afraid to get dirty. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and strict adherence to safety procedures are essential. All personnel must be clean shaven to ensure proper fit of provided respiratory protection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform maintenance, cleaning, and service work on biogas storage tanks and related systems.
•    Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
•    Assist with the servicing and repair of biogas plant equipment including digesters, pumps, and gas systems.
•    Use hand and power tools for general maintenance and repair work.
•    Support tank clean-out operations, including removal of sludge and manure material.
•    Report equipment or safety issues promptly to supervision.
•    Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Job Requirements:
•    Must be comfortable working in dirty, smelly environments (biogas/manure exposure).
•    Clean shaven daily to ensure proper respirator fit.
•    Must have steel-toe or composite-toe boots (all other PPE provided).
•    Basic familiarity with tools; mechanical aptitude preferred but not required.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
•    Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-driven.

Education / Experience: 
•    High school diploma or GED preferred.
•    Experience in labor, maintenance, construction, or agriculture a plus
