Title: Biogas Tank Service Foreman

Key Project Requirements:
• Must be comfortable working in and around biogas tanks containing cow manure and other organic waste materials.
• Clean shaven to ensure proper fit and seal of provided respiratory protection (PPD).
• Must have steel-toe or composite-toe work boots (all other PPE provided).
• Prior crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience in industrial, construction, or maintenance environments preferred.
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking a Biogas Tank Service Foreman to lead and supervise field crews performing maintenance, service, and clean-out operations on biogas storage tanks at agricultural and renewable energy facilities. The Foreman oversees daily work planning, safety compliance, and task execution, while supporting hands-on maintenance as needed. This role requires a strong safety mindset, dependable leadership, and the ability to work in dirty, physically demanding environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead service technicians during tank clean-outs and maintenance activities.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor work quality, productivity, and safety compliance.
• Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and enforce confined-space PPE requirements.
• Oversee servicing and repair of biogas plant equipment including digesters, pumps, gas systems, and flares.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating when needed.
• Maintain accurate service logs, personnel tracking, and equipment/material usage records.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and management regarding schedules and project progress.
• Support hands-on work as necessary, including tank entry, equipment operation, and material handling.
Job Requirements:
• Must be comfortable working in dirty, smelly environments (biogas/manure exposure).
• Clean shaven to ensure proper respirator fit.
• Must have steel-toe or composite-toe boots (all other PPE provided).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to direct technicians in the field.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools required.
• Reliable, safety-oriented, and able to travel as needed.
Education / Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, construction, agriculture, or biogas operations.
• 1+ year of crew lead, team lead, or foreman experience preferred.
