Job Title: Wind Turbine Composite Technician Level-I thru III
International Wind's client is currently looking for several GE Blade LOTO Techs (Level 1 -3) for projects starting in 2026 through Spring for various locations throughout North America -100 percent travel.
Job Description:
Blade repair
Schedules: Varies. Usually 7am start time and can be 8-12 hour shifts depending upon weather and urgency.
Must be able to provide a current certification with the application that shows GE LOTO from GE.
Must have GWO ART AND BST.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments, inspections, and diagnostics of internal and external composite damage on wind turbine components, supported by detailed documentation and photographic evidence.
Perform cosmetic repairs on composite structures (Categories 13), including blades, nacelles, and spinners, using approved materials and coatings.
Execute precision sanding, cutting, grinding, cleaning, and layering of fiberglass, carbon fiber, resins, and protective coatings.
Collaborate with site leadership to meet daily contractual targets and client specifications for composite repair work.
Interpret engineering diagrams and adhere to lamination protocols and repair specifications.
Recommend process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and repair outcomes.
Coordinate with engineering teams to validate repair quality, accuracy, and completion timelines.
Maintain accurate and timely records using digital reporting platforms.
Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and respect for company policies, team members, clients, and local communities.
Support additional operational duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in wind turbine composite and coatings repair.
Proven technical proficiency and leadership capabilities within team environments.
Strong communication skills with a focus on precision and attention to detail.
Experience evaluating blade damage under supervision and applying a range of repair methodologies.
Working knowledge of adhesive bonding techniques for internal and external composite components.
Capable of performing complex wind turbine generator (WTG) assembly, maintenance, and repair in accordance with technical guidelines.
Proficient in the use of repair chemicals, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
Willingness to work in confined spaces, flexible shifts, overtime, and holidays as required.
Required certifications: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED-First Aid.
Preferred: Composite Repair Technician certification.
Preferred: GWO BST/ART
Preferred: GE LOTO Certification (Must possess PDF of certification)
Physically able to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet; weight range must fall between 120280 lbs for safety compliance.
Capable of lifting and moving equipment exceeding 50 lbs.
Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license and be authorized for full-time employment in the United States.
